Audience Feedback
Music Video
Positive
- The editing is really effective and helps reinforce the narrative perfectly
- The lip syncing is well edited and performed
- The song chosen is catchy and suits the genre well
- A range of camera shots used throughout the music video which makes it more interesting to watch. Also, the close ups and direct mode of address makes the audience connect with the lead singer and relate to him, particularly through the lyrics
- Unique use of split screen which we haven't seen yet
- Lighting was good in the music video
- The studio (performance setting) was well laid out
Negative
- The long shots of the band performing are not to the centre, but leaning to the right, leaving a bit of an extended gap to the left of the performance.
- The drummer is wearing tracksuit bottoms, which completely goes against the indie genre.
- The lead singer is wearing a Columbia Records T-Shirt when the institution chosen by your group is Island Records
- Slightly unrealistic playing of instruments for example, drummer not actually hitting the drum properly, and the guitarists hoisting the guitar up because he has no guitar strap
Digi Pack
Positive
- The way the images on the digi pack are in a grid makes the format more interesting, but not over the top and the image of their back view for the back cover is quite quirky.
- Professional appearance
- Images used are crisp and bold
Negative
- Similar images used on each cover
Advertisement Poster
Positive
- The images used are crisp and bold
- The posters layout is simple but effective and creative
Negative
- One band member is smiling in the poster. To fit the indie rock genre better they should be with serious facial expressions or all smiling to fit the tone of the video.
