Planning - Band

We needed to find a suitable band and song which fitted a genre in the best way possible and had lyrics in which we could form a narrative structure around. After searching through unsigned band and indie music websites, we decided to start looking into local bands in which some of us in the group have heard of due to the teenage music scene within Birmingham, particularly those who are part of the indie-rock genre. 

"The Supremacies" * originally Empire- is a local band forming of four males. We chose this song because it is very specific to the genre and follows the conventions we found previously within our genre analysis. For example, the band consists of all males which is the common gender we tend to find in bands related to indie rock. As well as this, the song includes stereotypical guitar and drum based instrumentals in which indie rock is commonly renown for. The upbeat pace of the song stood out for us as a group as we felt we could create a creative, exciting and high quality music video for this song.
